About this painting: This is a fun loose expressive little painting. A quick sketch that captures more than I expected. Titled, "Sex Ed", I think this little piece shows how kids are scared and intrigued by those birds and bees talks. Personally, I am of the opinion that abstinence-only sex ed makes kids more curious and more likely to mess around than giving them actual information. It is human nature to wonder about the things that are kept hidden. I came of age at a time when we had to watch creepy informative movies in sex ed and in my case, the information was much more scary than any lecture about how we should all wait for marriage. Anyway, I just like these two with their worried glances and the black censorship stripes.
