About this painting: What an amazing thing. The engines quit. 150 or so people are up in the sky sitting in a hunk of very heavy metal about to fall down very fast. They must have expected death in those horrible moments. But the pilot kept his wits about him. And the Angels waved him in. Right there on the Hudson river. Kerplunk. They all climbed out. The boats came. And everyone survived to love another day. Hooray! I painted this wonderful contemporary folk art image to remind myself (and maybe you, too?) that miracles DO happen. I hope this piece brings comfort and hope to fellow believers out there. Note: Some of the mat board paintings do have stray bits of paint in the margins outside the picture plain. These will generally not show once you have the piece matted, but if you are one of those folks who like pristine unmarked white, you may want to stick with the canvas paintings.
